Darrington Devaunte` Colley, Sr. 29, transitioned from life on Friday, February 14, 2020. He was a native of Akron, Ohio and was the beloved son of Jerry Colley, Jr. and Sharlanda Colley.

Darrington was born on September 21, 1990. He graduated from Firestone High School. Following high school, Darrington was a sales associate at American Commodore Tuxedo. He resigned to become a sales associate at Sam’s Club where he exceeded expectations and was promoted to supervisor. He later went to work for the American Medical Transport Company, and he was able to share his love of the Lord and witness to the passengers he transported. He eventually found his calling at Hairston Appliance with his great-great-uncle, James Hairston. He served as the Business Office Manager, and this past summer, he trained to make repairs to the merchandise he sold.

Darrington was a gentle giant, a loyal employee, and a devoted husband and father. He had a deep love for his family and friends. He was a member of the House of Prayer for All People where he served as a deacon. He loved helping people and understood the importance of giving back to others. He also enjoyed gaming, cars, the Cleveland Browns, gospel and R&B music.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of five years, Devany McLeod-Colley; his beautiful children, Kaili Mae, Noah, Darrington Jr., Xaela, SirRom, and Nyla; grandparents

Jerry Sr. and Yvonne Colley and Beverly Grant Hairston; in-laws Tanya McLeod and James Mcleod; godbrother, Chad Andrus; best friend, Cordell Walker; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Darrington was the most respectful and thoughtful employee at Sams Club. He always went out of his way to assist us while shopping there.. Often, he and my husband talked football. An open invitation to attend a game with my husband was extended as we both admired him. May he rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Saviour.
