Darryl C. Lewis age 60, of Akron, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2021, after a short illness. Darryl was born on July 2, 1961, in Akron, Ohio. He was the oldest of four children born to Harold and the late Doretha Lewis.

He was a graduate of Garfield High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Air force where he faithfully served for 20 years until retirement in 2001. Shortly after retirement, Darryl returned to Akron and faithfully attended to his parent’s needs until his death. He was currently employed at Lowe’s in Montrose. He had a passion for movies and classic movies. He was always focused on other people’s needs; he will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nathan and Dessie Lewis, Matthew and Ibevia Stallworth; mother, Doretha Lewis, and his youngest brother, Charles N. Lewis.
He leaves to honor the memory of his life father, Harold Lewis of Akron; sister, Carla (Nathan) Kenner of Cleveland, brother, Curtis (Dora) Lewis of Akron and a host of extended family members, neighbors, and friends.
