Davelle Capone Scurry was born to the late Carrie LaNelle Scurry and father, David L. Shepherd on October 9, 1992, and gained his wings on November 2, 2021. Davelle attended both East High School and Kenmore High School. He loved his daughter and his family tremendously. He also loved laughing, joking, reading and spending most of his time with the ones he loved.
He was devoted to bettering himself. He worked multiple factory jobs. His latest job at the Home2 Suites by Hilton was his most enjoyable, as he had the opportunity to build new bonds, and meet many new people. He also picked up the love for cars, as a child, watching his late grandfather, Herman Floyd, work on them.
Davelle’s big laugh, bigger smile, jokes and heart of gold are amongst many things that he will be missed for.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie LaNelle Scurry; grandmother, Effie J. Shepherd; grandfathers, Herman Floyd and David L. Shepard Sr.; uncle, Leon Shepherd and godmother, Duetta Nurse.
Survived by to forever cherish his memories, the love of his life, Katia Redding; daughter and the apple of his eye, Sharvelle Scurry; father, David L. (Shawana) Shepherd; grandmother, Diane Floyd; brothers, Lloyd Sharpe, Jermonte Bailey, Dazian Cargill, David Shepherd III, Cameron Green, Alexander Green, Davonte Davis, Demeche Brown and Dominique Rushing; sisters, Ja’Mesha Scurry, Myoesha Rushing and Janya Brown; favorite auntie, Wonderous Halsell, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and more family members and friends.
