David E. Moore was born on June 16, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John E. Moore and Emma Moore. David was the youngest of six children. Being raised in a household that honored Jesus Christ is where David grew strong in his faith. Giving his life to God at an early age, David continued in the ways of the Lord throughout his life, always there to give a word of advice and impart wisdom to his family and friends. David instilled the teachings of God’s Word in his loved ones and desired for them all to get to know the goodness of God for themselves.
David attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from John Hay High School in 1983. David’s high school nickname was “Steppin Moe”. He was truly a leader. He played various sports and even earned a basketball scholarship to attend Mississippi Delta Junior College. While attending Mississippi Delta, David was recruited into the United States Navy where he served a 10-year tenure. David was united in marriage to his high school classmate and friend Marcelle in 1998. They have two children, Vincent Kendall, and David Moore. David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
After David’s Naval career came to an end he worked in the logistics industry at Yellow Freight for four years, he then transitioned to Operation Supervisor at FedEx Freight.
Upon leaving the logistics industry he became an entrepreneur. David was a pioneer in the auto detailing industry starting Quiet Storm Auto Detailing in 2002. Detailing vehicles on the weekends in the beginning and later becoming a full-time businessman. The business began in the backyard of his home and has now grown to a fixed location.
Quiet Storm Auto Detailing has won many awards around the country and is currently the only certified auto detailing company in Northeast Ohio. His youngest son, David Moore, is now the owner and continues to ensure that Quiet Storm Auto Detailing is a thriving business.
David left a huge impact on his community by doing landscaping work, auto detailing, ministering, and volunteering to help where he was needed.
David became ill in November 2019 and transitioned to Christ on June 28, 2022.
David leaves to cherish his memory his wife Marchelle Moore; his sons Vincent Kendall (Robbin), and David Moore (Banoya); mother Emma Moore; his brothers Christopher, Angelo, and Segelo; sister Esther; his grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of familv and friends.
This faithful servant of God has gone home to rest from the toils of this life. David was preceded in death by his father John Moore, brother Antone, and his mother-in-law Clara Prevo.
