OBITUARY
When God graced the union on December 6, 1933 of Willie K. and Rosie Fellows, for the third time it was with a son and they named him Albert Lewis Fellows. They reared him in the way that a child should grow and he did not depart from those ways.
Albert claimed God as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized as a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston, Alabama.
Albert attended the Sumpter County Public School System and was a graduate of the class of 1950 from the Sumpter County Training School. He served his country in the US Army for four years after that.
Albert worked at the Republic Steel/LTV Steel Company in Cleveland, Ohio for more than forty one years until his retirement in 1996.
Albert grew up with and also went to school with the love of his life, Annie R. Tartt. They were united in holy matrimony on April 9, 1954. To this union five children were born and they reared them in the way that children should grow. Their children’s careers are as follows: the first child, a school teacher; second child, a registered nurse; third child, a cosmetologist and his ultimate caregiver for the last 10 years; the fourth twin girl, a practicing attorney and fourth twin boy, a former marine and Federal Government Postal Service worker. Albert was more than a father…he was a dad!!!!!
Albert leaves to cherish precious memories five children, Rosie (Donald) Flowers, Diane (Carl) Gross, Alberta Lester, Debbie (Duane) Horton and Donald R. Fellows; eight grandchildren, Jason, Kia, Jenae, Earl, Carl, Allan, Amber and Donald, Jr. (who preceded him in death in 2014); eleven grandchildren, Naje, Essence, Zoey, Ji, Alaya, Haley, Casey, Colby, Donald III, Alyce and Zechariah; one brother, Willie K. Fellows, Jr.; one aunt, Ruby Washington; five sisters-in-law, Eartha Tartt, Jangeline Fellows, Viola Tartt, Jean Tartt and Alzatia Fellows and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Albert also leaves to cherish his memories of his church family where he served as a deacon for many years at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio and also where he and his wife were members from 1954 until 1996 before they built a home and relocated back to Livingston, Alabama. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Livingston, Alabama from 1996 until October 23, 2017 when God said “Well done my servant” and took him home to join his wife Annie (1999) and his mother, father and brothers, Issac, Charlie, Jessie, Ellix James and sister, Viola.
