Deacon Augusta B. “Gus” Clark was born January 25, 1954 in Akron, Ohio, to Jessie J. and Henrietta L. Clark. He graduated from South High School in Akron, OH. Deacon Clark retired from General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local #599. He was a member of the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, Greeter Ministry, Usher Board and on the Kitchen Ministry. Deacon Clark loved to listen to music and cook for others.
Deacon Augusta B. “Gus” Clark leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sisters, Samelia “Shine” (Ray) Clark Linear of Memphis, TN and Cynthia (Birama) Clark Tine; 2 brothers, Anthony (Deborah) Clark and Master J. Clark, all of Akron, OH; 3 aunts, Althalene Clark of Flint, Seena Clark and Cecola Mozon of Oakland, CA; uncle Odell Clark of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Margo Clark Coker and Damita Clark.
Deacon Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie J. and Henrietta L. Clark; aunt, Florence Clark; uncle, Otis Clark; cousin, Ken Clark.
