Debora McCormick-Persons went home to be with the Lord, Monday February 26, 2018 after a long illness.  She was born on December 23, 1954 to late Arthur & Jeanie Thomas in Akron, Ohio.  Debora married Vernon Persons on June 12, 2009.

Debora was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 50 years and was a faithful choir member.  She also sang with Gospel Meets Symphony, Past and Unforgotten for many years. Debora was a joy to whomever she met and never met a strange face. Her favorite past time was playing Bingo.  If you knew Debora you had a ride or die friend. Debora was a graduate of Butchel High School. (Griffin for life)

Debora was preceded in death by her parents Deacon Arthur & Jeanie Thomas and nephew Damon Harrison.

She leaves to cherish her memory, beloved husband Vernon Persons, son Victor Thomas, daughter Shetorra McCormick, Brother Rev. Arthur (Claudette) Thomas, Jr., Stepchildren Renee & Vernon;  grandchildren Darrin, Maurice, Victoria, Ashley, Taylor, Tristan, Makenzie, Gracie, Isaiah, great grandchildren Maurice, Arieonna, Mattison, Myra, Mariah, Messiah, DeAsia; niece Renee; nephew Randell Zalann;  god sister Deborah Williams; goddaughter Shatoka Martin; In-laws Adolph (Debbie) Person, Keith (deceased), Patricia Person, Lavonne Person, Russell (Susan) Dossie, Barnett (Charlene) Dossie, James Green, Jerry Dossie (deceased), Gregory Williamson and host of family and friends.
