Deborah Elizabeth was born on April 6, 1957, in Painesville, Ohio, to Janet M. Dunbar and Lang D. Dunbar Jr. Both of her parents preceded her in death.
She grew up in Painesville, OH and was educated in the Painesville Public School system. Deborah was a graduate of Thomas W. Harvey High School, class of 1975. She went on to further her education and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. She held various positions related to accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. She retired from the work force in 2020.
Deborah married her soulmate, Linnell Kinds Jr. on July 16, 1988, and they resided in Cleveland, OH.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Baptist Church, Painesville, Ohio. She and her husband later joined Antioch Baptist Church, where she was an active member, serving as a trustee, finance committee member, Antioch Personnel Committee Chair, Vera O’Bouie Circle member, Board of Christian Education committee member and the Sojourner Truth Mission Circle. Deborah shared her love for golf with her church family and was also one of the founding members of the Antioch Baptist Church Women’s Golf Ministry, and she participated in the Antioch Bowling League.
Deborah enjoyed being out and about, and assisted with the community valet food pantry, and April Birth Month Club. As an avid golfer, she participated in various golf organizations and events; to include the Gulf Coast Women’s Golf League
Her love for travel took her to many destinations. Some of her best adventures were with her twin sister, Denise. Most recently, they traveled to the Dunbar Family Reunion in Chicago, IL, in July 2024.
Deborah leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted twin sister Denise Cannon of Columbus, OH; sister Melissa Bruner of Fairfield, CA; brothers Lang D. III Dunbar and Erik Dunbar; sister-in-law Judith Morgan (Charles); uncle Manly Dunbar (Karen); aunt Pat Dunbar; nieces Amber Cannon, Ann Morgan, Jasmine J. Hampton, Fatima Dunbar, Latina Dunbar, and Syria L Vassar-Dunbar; nephews Christopher M. Cannon, Darius Bruner II, Charles Ray Morgan, Lang David Dunbar IV, Zecheriah Vassar-Dunbar and Noah Elliott; cousin Christopher Dunbar and special friends Stephanie Brown-Houston and Pam Ashby and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was also preceded in death by her husband Linnell Kinds Jr., maternal grandparents Paul and Rena Curry, and paternal grandparents Lang Sr. and Pearl Dunbar.
