Deborah V. Allison-Simpson was born on April 5, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Barbara Thomas and Robert Thomas (who preceded her in death). She was the loving wife of Edward Regional Simpson Jr. and the devoted mother of DeMarco Thomas. She was also a beloved sister to Ralph, Ruby (Konnis) Jackson, Anthony, and Robert J. (who preceded her in death). She was a cherished aunt to Peter, Damien, Candace (Johnson), Anthony, Joseph, and Aniya.
Deborah was also a dear daughter-in-law to Laura Scott and a loving family member to Edward Simpson Sr. (who preceded her in death), Edna (the twin of Edward Simpson Jr.), Jackie, and Dennis. She leaves behind a host of devoted nephews, nieces, in-laws, family, and friends.
Deborah attended Erieview Catholic High School and pursued additional studies in Criminal Justice. She was a devoted member of the Cleveland Church of Christ for over ten years. A proud member of two 12-step programs, Deborah maintained 33 years of sobriety, faithfully serving as the treasurer of her home group until her health prevented her from attending.
She was known for her candid personality, willingness to help others, love of life, and passion for fashion. She was an avid TV show watcher (especially Judge Judy and Steve), enjoyed traveling, and was a sharp shooter with her weapon! Despite her health challenges, Deborah remained resilient, always wearing a smile as she fought for her independence until she was called home.
