Debra Ann Hereford was born February 22, 1959 in Madison, Alabama, to Leo and Mattie Hereford, the eldest child of their   union.

Debra attended Limestone County schools for elementary and a portion of secondary school. Upon the family relocation to Akron, Ohio, Debra       attended Thornton Junior High School and graduated from Central-Hower Senior High School in 1977 majoring in Dental Hygiene Health in Family Dentistry. Debra had a love for her country and served in a short tenure in the army during her early adulthood. She returned home thereafter with an honorable discharge after choosing to pursue other life endeavors.

Upon coming home, she started a family and raised four  children up until the onset of her illness which required her to receive skilled care nursing. Debra was a true fighter over the years until the Father called her home from her earthly labor to her heavenly resting place.

Her daughter, Renika Hereford, was dedicated in seeing after the health and       well-being of her mother and chose to work in the facility where her care was provided. Her   other  children, Denisha Hereford, Brian Gable and  Joseph Lamar Gable, were devoted to assisting every step of the way by visiting and bringing Debra as much joy as  possible.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leo Hereford; grandparents, Mandy “Big Momma” and Oscar Twitty, Roland and Gussie Hereford; uncles, Frank Hereford, Oscar Twitty, Jr., Frank Twitty, Melvin Twitty, Willie Twitty, Thomas Twitty, Robert Crutcher and Ivory Pickett. All of Athens, Green Brier and Huntsville, Alabama.

Debra is survived by her mother, Mattie Lockhart; children, Renika        Hereford, Denisha Hereford, Brian Gable and Joseph Lamar Gable;    grandchildren, M’Kayla Hereford, Madison Hereford, Mekhi Johnson-Hereford, Mia-Belle Hereford, Janiyah Greene and Samaria Gable; great-grandchild, MaiLonni Akemon-Hereford; siblings, Charlotte Kerr, Talecher (Thomas) Love, Lynn (Dwight ) Beasley and  Tamara (Willie) Hereford; God-family, Linford (Ellen) Hayes, Thurmon Hayes, Darlene Powell,   Marlene Hayes and Daryl Hayes; special aunt, Deloise (Kenzie) Jenkins; aunts, Rosie Lee Rodgers, Ocie Lee Crutcher of Athens, AL and Mary Jane Twitty; special cousin, Billy Rae Hereford of Huntsville, AL; cousin, Shirley Lanier (Greg) Igberaese of Riverdale, GA, Barbara Powell and   Larry Hereford of Detroit, MI; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
