Deirdre Miles-Manning, lovingly known as “Dee,” was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and closest friends.
Born on March 27, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio, Dee was the beloved daughter of Myra Jones and Terry L. Miles. She graduated from John Marshall High School before beginning a distinguished career at Progressive Insurance Company, where she faithfully served for more than 35 years. Throughout her career, Dee held numerous leadership positions, including IT & Strategic Vendor Manager, IT Project Manager Consultant, Senior Information Technology Manager, and Equity Leader. She set the standard for excellence throughout her career, breaking barriers and inspiring future generations of women in corporate leadership. Dee’s accomplishments reflected not only her remarkable talent and determination but also her commitment to opening doors for others.
While Dee achieved remarkable professional success, those who knew her best understood that her greatest impact came through the lives she touched. She was a prayer warrior, an anointed songstress, a mentor, an encourager, and a source of wisdom to many, always making others feel valued and empowered.
On February 4, 2010, she married the love of her life, Richard “Rich” Manning. Dee and Rich cherished their life together, finding joy in home design projects, traveling the world, exploring fashion and art, attending concerts and creating treasured memories with family and friends.
Dee embraced life with joy, grace, and gratitude. Her resilience in the face of life’s challenges was an inspiration. Despite experiencing the loss of her father at an early age, she remained steadfast in her faith and continually reminded those around her that through God’s love, all things are possible. She faithfully served as a Praise and Worship Leader for many years at Cuyahoga Faith Center and as a member of the Praise and Worship Team at New Community Bible Fellowship. Her extraordinary gift of song and worship touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of hearing her sing.
While many admired Dee for her beauty, style, accomplishments, and loving spirit, what people cherished most was her heart. She loved without condition, gave without hesitation, and made everyone around her feel seen, valued, and deeply cared for. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love were the hallmarks of her life and the legacy she leaves behind.
Dee leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 20 years, Richard “Rich”; her loving mother, Myra Jones; her loving children, Dwayne Jr., Jordan, Evonne, Rhenda and Esha; her treasured grandchildren, Makayla, Kyra and Dinero; her siblings, Roy, Willette, and Marcus; her beloved Aunt Gwendolyn; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, friends, colleagues, church family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Terry Miles, and her grandmother, Catherine “Bam” Miles.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Dee’s love, unwavering faith, radiant spirit, and remarkable legacy will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She fought the good fight, kept the faith, and finished her race with grace. Her life was a beautiful testament to God’s love, and her memory will forever remain a blessing.
