THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF DELMAR RAMONE HALL SR.
From the moment Delmar Ramone Hall Sr. entered the world on February 11, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio, he seemed to arrive already glowing with personality. Born to Denise D. Hall and Lamar Parker White, he quickly became the bright center of a small, growing family. Later that same year, he welcomed his sister, Bonkia-a bond that became one of the earliest and deepest roots of his life.
Delmar’s early years unfolded on Bryant Avenue and Eddy Road, where neighbors felt like cousins, cousins felt like siblings, and every front porch was part of his extended world. His humor, boldness, and unmistakable presence began taking shape long before he was tall enough to realize the impact he’d one day have on everyone around him.
The family moved to University Heights, where Delmar continued to grow-attending Taylor Elementary, Wiley Middle, and eventually Cleveland Heights High School. These were the years where his sharp wit, confident charm, and natural leadership began to shine through unmistakably. In 1984, life expanded once again when Denise met Daryl Alexander, who became a steady guide and father figure for Delmar.
Everything changed in 1991, the year he met Jennifer Morris-the woman who would become the love of his life and the partner who matched him beat for beat. With a generous heart, Delmar embraced Jennifer’s daughter, Alycia, as his own, building a bond rooted in patience, trust, and joy. In 1997, their family became complete with the arrival of their son, Delmar Jr., a moment that deepened his sense of purpose and devotion. Together, the four of them built a home first in South Euclid, Ohio, where laughter, lessons, and long days of hard work wove them tightly together. Most recently, Delmar and Jennifer began a new chapter under Florida’s sun, carrying the same love that had always guided their way.
Driven by determination and an unshakeable belief in his own potential, Delmar became a certified electrician through Vatterott Technical College. With grit and ambition, he later founded DHalls Group, his own construction company-a business built quite literally from the ground up. Every job he completed, every project he touched, reflected the pride he took in providing for the people he loved most.
But Delmar’s true legacy extended far beyond his work. He was the heartbeat of every gathering, the voice that carried, the laughter that rolled across a room before he even entered it. A natural jokester and a self-proclaimed “know‑it‑all,” he had a way of turning any ordinary moment into entertainment. His kindness was steady, his generosity instinctive, and his stubbornness-well, it was part of his charm. He loved boldly and welcomed people with the kind of warmth that turned acquaintances into family.
His passions were woven throughout his days-cooking meals that brought people together, cheering (and sometimes yelling) at the TV during sports games, exploring new places with his family, and never turning down the thrill of a good gamble. And no matter where he went, Delmar arrived in style. Clothes, watches, glasses, colognes-he had a knack for presenting himself with a confidence and polish that became his signature.
Above all, family was the center of his world. His laughter filled rooms, his love filled hearts, and his presence filled the lives of those blessed to know him. The memories he created-big and small-continue to echo tenderly through every life he touched.
Delmar leaves behind his devoted wife, Jennifer Hall; his children, Alycia Morris and Delmar Hall Jr.; his sister, Bonkia Hall; his mother, Denise D. Hall; his stepfather, Daryl Alexander; his grandmother, Brenda J. Hall; his aunts Diane P. Walker (Fred), Deborah J. Taylor (Richard), Donnita Digs (Jaymez), and Rhronda Mitchell; his uncles Robert Owens (Regina), Umar Abd Fatir, Douglas Hall (Zania), and Brian Hall; a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins; his beloved dog, Tedward (“Ruff Ruff”); and countless extended family members and friends whose lives were forever brightened by him. Delmar’s story lives on in the laughter he sparked, the lessons he taught, the work he built with his own hands, and the love he poured generously into the world. His light remains-strong, warm, unforgettable-in the hearts of all who knew him.
