Her Life and Legacy

Dewonder Gail Kibble was born on August 24, 1965, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Etcut and Betty Jean Armistead on August 24, 1965. She was the only sister to her two brothers.

At an early age, Dewonder accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E. Theophilus Caviness.

Dewonder attended Shaw High School. During her life’s journey, she met and married the love of her life, Donnie Kibble Jr. Together, they shared 31 years of love, companionship, and cherished memories.

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, Dewonder peacefully departed this earthly life. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Etcut and Betty Jean Armistead; and her brother, Calvin B. Armistead.

Cherishing Her Memory

She also leaves to cherish her memory, husband Donnie Kibble Jr; Brother William Henry Sr. Aunt Barbara Harris, Cleveland Ohio Nephew William Jr, Dayton, Ohio; Nephew Calvin Jr, Cleveland Ohio; Parents in Laws Deloris Kibble of Elyria Ohio. Donnie Kibble Sr. of Hazelgreen, Alabama, her nine first cousins; five brothers-in-law,1 sister-in-law; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

Though she is no longer with us in body, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
