Diane Green was born on January 30, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Willie “Jimbo” Jackson and Katherine Green. She was raised in Cleveland, where she developed strong family values, a resilient spirit, and a deep love for those around her.
Diane attended East Technical High School and later continued her education by attending college, always striving to grow and better herself.
Diane dedicated over 20 years of service to Cablevision, which later became Spectrum. Through her hard work, commitment, and reliability, she built lasting relationships and earned the respect of her coworkers before retiring.
Diane also had a passion for travel, especially when she was with her best friends Andreia, Angela, and Angie- a crew she proudly named the “Old Lady Gang.”
Diane was a woman who cherished her family deeply. She was known for her strength, her warmth, and her ability to bring people together. Whether through her words, her laughter, or her presence, she left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine Green and Willie Jackson; her brothers Solomon Green and Luis Green; and her sister, Shirley Rogers.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving children: Anthony (Lisa) Green, Marvin “Bam” Green, and Dionne Green. She is also survived by her sisters, Jessie Tuff (“Auntie Pumpkin”) and Marsha Jackson. Diane was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and a great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her loving sister-in-law, Jackie King, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Diane’s legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew and loved her.
