Diane L. Woods

June 16, 1946- March 3, 2022

Diane L. Woods was born on June 16, 1946 to the late Delores Patterson and Samuel Bello in Cleveland, Ohio.

She graduated from East High School in Cleveland, Ohio. She later attended Cuyahoga Community College and studied Nursing. Diane met the love of her life, John Woods, and they were joined in marriage December 14, 1968 and recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. Diane worked at the Cleveland VA Medical Center for 30 years until her retirement in 1997. Diane accepted Christ at an early age and was a Faithful member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. Diane was a warrior of God, prayer, family, and of course “her babies”. She was the true definition of a divine servant. She is survived by her husband John Woods, her three children: Darryl Woods of Munroe Falls, Ohio; La Sonja Woods (Kenneth Whitting) of East Cleveland, Ohio; and Trina Jones (Jay Jones) of Bedford, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, 3 sisters (Beatrice Thompson, Althea Cook, RuthAnn Tabb, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson Malik Muhammad, brothers: Calvin Drake, Robert Drake, & Lawrence Drake, her sisters: Brenda Jenkins, Dorothy Drake, & Roberta Drake; her adoptive parents Frances M. Drake and Ephriam Drake.
