Dionna Kimberly Moore went home to be with our heavenly father on
March 13th, 2025 at the age of 53 gaining her heavenly wings into the
kingdom of Paradise. Dionna was born to her parents Cloyed and Helen
Spragling May 11th, 1971 in Akron, Ohio.
Dionna fought a great fight, always in good spirits. She was strong,
courageous, and never gave up. She truly was a warrior and will be greatly
missed by the many lives that she impacted each and every day.
Dionna attended Akron Public Schools. She loved sports and was
outstanding in everything that she did. Dionna proudly broke records in track
and field at both Ellet and North High School. She played volleyball and was
a beast on the basketball court. Dionna graduated in 1989 from North High
School. She went on to attend the University of Akron where she graduated
earning her associates degree in accounting.
Dionna was known for her kind heart, hard work, and determination.
She was dedicated to whatever it was that she did. She worked in upper
management in the food service industry for many years. Dionna worked in
childcare for various childcare centers. She was currently employed at Akron
Public Schools and I Promise School as a Nutrition Specialist where she
brought joy to those she encountered. The staff and students loved her very
much.
Dionna loved to decorate her home for every season and holiday. She
took great pride in her home decorations, her yard’s upkeep, and caring for
her plants. She loved and enjoyed praising the lord and going to church. She
also enjoyed shopping, gardening, playing cards, traveling, having a good
time with family and dancing. She loved music and making her money. She
was an amazing baker and made a mean hot and spicy chilli. Her desserts
were all delicious. She was family oriented and loved her family so very
much.
Dionna was always a devoted mother and loved nothing more than
being there for her beautiful children Adrianna and Deontae. She attended
and supported every sporting event, school activity, and interest that they
had with great pride and joy. They were the lights of her life. She was so
proud of her children. She loved being an auntie too. Dionna made sure she
thought of all her nieces and nephews for birthdays, holidays, and whatever
she could do for them in between. She loved watching her family succeed.
Dionna helped out every chance that she could. Without question, she
was ready to give when needed. If you asked her and she could help, she
was there. She was stern but fair. Indeed, Dionna was a very strong minded
woman and whatever role she had she took it seriously. She hardly ever
took a day off. Even when she didn’t feel good she still went to work. Dionna
was one strong woman.
Dionna was a beautiful soul inside and out. She leaves to cherish her
memories her beautiful children Adrianna Moore, Deontae Moore,
