Donald K. Adams Sr. was born on June 8, 1946, in Akron, Ohio. He was the youngest son of the late Van Delacy Adams Sr. and Katherine B. Adams
He received his education from South High School and attended Phillips Chapel CME. He worked for Daimler Chrysler as a laborer for 30 plus years until his retirement. He was a track star at South High School and a softball player. He also coached softball and played on Chrysler’s basketball team. He served in the military and was an Army Paratrooper Veteran.
He was married for 11 years to Sherylon Adams and had 12 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Van Delacy Adams Jr., Barbara Lewis; son, Antoine Scott; granddaughter, De`Shunae Lewis and grandson, Michael Anderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory siblings, Beverly Herring and Henry (Barbara) Adams; sons, DeJuan (Sheila) Adams, Darin (Denise) Adams, Derrick (Candace) Adams, Donald (Martha) Adams Jr., Donald (April) Adams II, Diamond Purdie, Brian (Karla) Griffin, D’Arrius Courtney King, Darnell (Sarah) Daniel; daughters, Amber (Ralph) Roebuck and Stacy (Ivan) Jones; 32 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and relatives.
