Donna Marie Johnson (Colvin) was born on August 4, 1954 to Donald F. Colvin and Eleanor Colvin in Cleveland, Ohio where her life began. Donna was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School – Class of 1973. After high school, Donna completed state certification as a nurse aid and went on to devote more than 30 years of service to the State of Ohio as a forensic psych technician at Northcoast Behavioral Health. Donna retired in good standing and spent the majority of her retirement traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandson.
Donna enjoyed family the most. She would host events on nearly every major holiday and would welcome everyone to cards, laughs, jokes, music, and an overall good time. Yes, she accomplished many things, but the quality of her pork ribs – cannot be unacknowledged. Donna was an exceptional cook overall and she knew it! Donna’s home was a place of respite, love, safety, and healing year-round. Donna was a pillar in bringing the family together.
While Donna had 2 children, she was a motherly figure to many. Her words of advice were exceptional, raw, genuine and to the point. She had good conversations and would always be a comforting spirit. Donna was a very present loved one. Going above and beyond for the children in her life. Donna was someone who you could truly count on for anything. She had a soft spot for those in need. She devoted her life to her family. She provided comfort and solace while asking little in return. Her wisdom, affection and healing energy will be truly missed.
