To the Family of Sister Dori Meeks, I send my deepest condolences. Sister Meeks was a beautiful, classy woman. I got to know her when I attended Canaan Baptist Church but I knew of her all my life because we lived in Miles Heights together. She was older than me for I was classmates with her younger brother, Freddie, but I remember seeing her around. When I was growing up, their house was one of the biggest houses in the neighborhood so I thought they were rich. I will always remember Doris as a beautiful, kind sister in the Lord.

I remember when I was trying to get an outfit together for an event and Doris so graciously helped me. Then a few years later, I found out we were soorors. . We went to events with the retired AKAs and had so much fun. Doris was just such a wonderful person to know. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Doris. To the family, my prayers and condolences and cherish the memories.
