Doris Ruth Tyson, affectionately known as “Baby Sister”, was born on Marh 8, 1937 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late, Sarah and Charlie Anderson Sr. She departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio.
Doris lived most of her life in Akron, Ohio and was a graduate of Central High School in Akron. She was united in marriage with the late, Lennon C. Tyson, Sr. in 1956; to this union, were born six children.
Doris enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, watching her favorite game shows (Family Feud and the Price is Right) and spending time with her family. She will be remembered by many for her delicious cooking, especially her homemade rolls and desserts.
Doris is greeted in Heaven by her husband, Lennon Sr.; daughter, Adria Tyson and great grandson, Camden Coleman; parents, Sarah and Charlie Anderson, Sr.; brother, Charlie Anderson, Jr.; and sister, Brenda Watkins.
She leaves to forever cherish her loving memory, her children, Lennon Tyson Jr., Crystal Coleman, Diedre (McNeal) Thompson, all of Akron, Ohio, Jeffrey Tyson of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Lisa Tyson of Columbus, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Mary Essie Johnson, Barbara (Roy) Finney, Mary and Toretha Anderson; special nephew, DiMont Anderson; and a host of other family and friends.
