On January 29, 1944, a queen was born. Dorothy Lee Beal “Dot”, as she was affectionately called made her peaceful transition from labor to reward on December 4, 2023. She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio to her parents, William Walker and Ruth Jones (Robinson).
Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis A. Minter. She was a graduate of East High School class of 1962. Dot was previously employed at McDonalds for 15 years and Job Services of Ohio for 13 years.
Dorothy loved to laugh and enjoy life; she didn’t allow the obstacles that she encountered to get her down. To know her was to truly love her. Dot was an avid bowler for Rubber City Travelers, Tuesday Night Senate League and the Wednesday Nite Mixed League.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John T. Beal Jr.; siblings; other relatives and friends.
Dorothy leaves to forever cherish her loving memory and to carry on her legacy sons, Darnell Boyd (Rachel) and Paul (Gina) Beal; grandchildren, Marquisa Boyd, Teona Boyd, Tyler Boyd Kelia Beal, Kalan Holloway, Kevonta Beal, Micah Beal, Octavia Loll, Duane Beal, Kentavion Beal, and Emilee Shepper; six great grandchildren; one Goddaughter;her Callis Tower family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
