Dorothy Marie Williams, age 86, passed away on April 10, 2024.

Born in Chicago, IL to Ralph Delaney and Madeline White. She was an only child. She graduated from East Tech High School. She worked at Bowman Distribution for more than 40 years filling car part orders and graphic designing car manuals. She loved to read and write and spend lots of fun times with her uncle, aunts and cousins.

She married O.D. Williams in October 28, 1961. They were married for 33 years and had two daughters and from the daughters she had two grandsons. She loved bowling and playing board games with her family. She loved her crossword puzzles. She would work those puzzles for hours.

She was introduced to Christ at a revival and later joined Second Tabernacle Missionary Baptist church. She befriended and followed her Pastor to Mt. Moriah Christian Center and when he passed away she found her final church home, Trinity Christian Church in which she loved her Pastor and fellow members dearly. She loved God and you can tell she was favored by how many people loved her. She was a bright light everywhere she went.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters Cheryl Williams and Carol Mercado, two grandsons Dante Chapman and Miguel Mercado, Jr. and a host of cousins and friends.
