I owe my life to DR. Pratt. She took this young student and showed him that his world is more than what society thinks of him through the GLEAMS program. Unsure if she thought her works in the GLEAMS program was in vein or a success, but I would like to let her family know that as a member of the Gleams program I had my struggles, had to wok my way out of a society that had been working to pull minorities down and keeping them there. I am glad to let it be known her work has not been in vein. Today, I am 1 of 4 selected to be a Master Sergeant in the united States Army Preventive Medicine Occupation. One away from being the highest enlisted position in the military. I Hold multiple degrees and certifications in medical and criminal justice realms, while continuing the fight in getting rid of the juxtaposition society has on minorities by educating student populations, young men and and woman across the world. Upon my promotion I will be dedicating it to one of the strongest woman I know in the world Dr. Charleyse Pratt. May she continue to live on in all of us.
To the family of Dr. Charleyse S. Pratt. My family sends their deepest sympathy to you. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to you. Acts 24:15

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Your Beautiful Smile, Your Wisdom, and Your Wonderful Words of Encouragement, will Forever Live On, in the Hearts, and Minds of All, Whom, has had the Pleasure of, Engaging with, and knowing such an Amazing Woman as Yourself.
May God Continue to Bless You, and Remember You Always; as one of His most Favored, and Beloved Servants in Christ. And, as, God's Word says, in the Bible,1 Thessalonians 4:13 -18; "Moreover, Brothers, We Do Not Want You To Be Ignorant about those who have," Fallen Asleep in Death," so that You Do Grieve, as the Rest Do Who Have No Hope." 1Corinthians 15:26, "And the last Enemy, Death, is to be Brought to Nothing." John 11:25: "Jesus said to Her: "I am the Resurrection and the Life." The One who exercises Faith in me, even though he Dies, Will Come To Life."
Charley was an amazing woman, a gifted administrator, and a passionate advocate for higher education. She was like my Pied Piper: if I saw Charley’s name attached to it; I was there. Her presence was poised, powerful, and supportive—all at the same time. I looked up to her. She was my friend, and I will miss her. My sympathies to her family; thank you for sharing her with the CSU community.
I remember Dr. Charleyse's wonderful warm smile. It was always a pleasure to see her in Glenville High School. TO THE FAMILY: May " the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7. Sincerely, Leta Murphy Glenvillite.
TO THE PRATT FAMILY: May "the peace of God which surpasses all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
