Duane Mitchell Grimes Sr., went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2021. Duane is survived by his beloved wife Tracy M. Grimes and loving mother Maggie L. Grimes; children: Kishaun D. Redmon, Chauntae R. Grimes, Candyce B. Howell, Chantelle M. Jones, Da’Nary D. Brown, Ja’Kary L. Brown, C’era R. Grimes, Duane M. Grimes Jr., Cynthia R. Grimes, Willie G. Grimes and Charlene R. Grimes; brothers, sisters and many friends; nine grandsons, seven granddaughters; a host of other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Duane was preceded in death by his father Willie G. Grimes and one granddaughter .

I know mr.grimes as “Pops” he was a father to many and had a way with words. He is truly one of a kind..... you will be greatly missed. He touched everyone life that knew him and always had words to brighten up someone day. We will miss you, greatly?❤️

Duane Grimes was a son to few, a father to many, and a friend to all who knew him. He will be missed tremendously and we will cherish the memories and times we’ve had with him and known him. Our prayers are with his beautiful and loving family we call family. God bless you all!
