Durraymus Tyjuan. Gillis was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 24, 1993 to Tangela Gillis and Wayne Tipton. He was awarded custody to his grandmother, Dorothy Gillis at five days of age. She raised Durraymus from that point on.
Durraymus attended Giddings Elementary then, Central Jr. High, and then attended East Technical High School. He would later attend Cuyahoga Community College Eastern Campus. This education led into other opportunities and jobs such as a delivery driver for the Cleveland Clinic, and Amazon.
“Rame” as he was called really loved sports especially basketball (and maybe even betting on a few). He enjoyed listening to music such as rap and spending a good night out with friends. He had a beautiful smile, a warm heart, and was crazy about his family (especially his grandmother). As Durraymus became older he focused even more on his relationship with Christ. He began to take care of himself by working out and eating clean. He spent a large amount of time checking on his grandmother, ensuring she ate, was drinking water, and was feeling herself.
Durraymus went home to be with the lord on February 16, 2024 to be his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But know this. He recently told his grandmother that he wanted to be sure that he gave his life to Christ. So, she said “I’ll call TBN”. He said “Grandma, why can’t you do it”. She said “I want to be sure it’s done right”.
He is preceded in death by his Father Wayne Tipton.
He leaves behind his mother Tangela Gillis, his loving grandmother Dorothy Gillis, sister LaTwana Gillis, and brothers; Torrence and Torieono Gillis and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
