Dwayne Demote Lenix was born on November 11, 1968 to Lela Lee Lenix. He attended Washington Elementary School, Robert Jamison Junior High School and Jane Addams Business Career Center. After, graduating from High School. He attended Ashland University, where he received his Bachelors in Business Management and a minor in Sociology. He also attended apprenticeship school to learn carpentry. He was a jack of all trades; a mover, a computer repair tech, tax preparer and a store manager at Rally’s.
Dwayne was an avid cyclist. If you saw Dwayne, his bike was not far behind. He loved sitting in his man cave watching movies and watching the Browns. He was hopeful that they would go to the Super Bowl. When he realized that they would not , his saying was “It’s Always Next Year.” Dwayne was a computer geek. If you had a computer problem, Dwayne could fix it. He had a heart for his family, friends and most of all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
On October 28, 2017, Dwayne went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his mother Lela Lee Hunt; step-father, Thomas Lee Williams and Torrie M. Hampton.
Dwayne leaves to cherish his memory; his two children: Dwayne Deonte Thomas “DJ” and Nicole Antionette Thomas- Barnes (Marshay), William Hunt Sr. who he considered to be his father; six siblings: Joyce Y. Boone, Robert L. Lenix Sr., Charles R. Lenix Sr., Bernice Lenix, Elizabeth Lenix and William Hunt Jr., grandchildren: Devin, Zavien and Alijah and a host of family and friends.
