Earl Kerney

With love and remembrance, we honor the life of Earl Kerney, who passed away at the age of 75.
Born in Akron, Ohio, on March 26, 1951, Earl, affectionately known to family as “Butch,” was
known for his strong work ethic, independence, and kind heart.
For over 30 years, Earl proudly worked as a taxi cab driver with the City Yellow Cab Company.
He took pride in helping people get where they needed to go and was known for his reliability,
professionalism, and dedication to his work.
Earl lived life in his own way and found joy in the simple routines that brought him happiness.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed reading and staying active through exercise. He will be
remembered for his steady character, strong work ethic, and the impact he left on those closest to
him.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Ossie Mae Kerney; his father, Alvin Kerney Sr.; his
brother, Edward Kerney; his sister, Geraldine Kerney; and his brother, Melvin Kerney.
He is survived by his sister, Carla Kerney; his brother, Alvin Kerney Jr.; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, extended family members, and all those he met throughout his life who will
cherish his memory.
Although Earl is no longer with us, the memories he created and the life he lived will remain
with those who knew him. His legacy of hard work, perseverance, and quiet kindness will
continue to be remembered. May he rest in peace.
