Roderick Board left a message on March 30, 2026:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Aunt Carlise and Family, I send our deepest condolences to you all during this difficult time. Dewayne and I only spoke on the phone a few times over the many years, but he was always cheerful, supportive, and sincere. We texted each other on occasion during the Air Force and Naval Academy football games. He was easy going and reminded me that we were always family, even though we had not seen each other in 40 years. He also allowed me to share my faith, openly, with him, as a word of encouragement, during his medical treatments and recoveries. His kindness and consideration truly blessed and inspired me. I know he’s not struggling anymore, but his genuine gentleness and perseverance will be missed. I pray Adonai’s peace, presence, comfort, compassion, and strength to you and the rest of our family that knew him best. Gratefully Yours, Roderick
