Edna Mae was born on august 13th, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on January 2nd, 2023, at Avenue of Aurora Nursing Home due to symptoms of Dementia.
In June of 1957 Edna Mae married Henry Williams and they were married for 49 years before he passed
Away in 2009. Momma is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry Sr., Daughters, Francine, Delphine, and Selena. She Leaves to behind to cherish her memories; Melvina, Ethel, and Henry Jr., 11 Grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Edna worked at Kaiser Permanente as a file clerk and retired after 15 years. Edna loved life, church, family, her fast foods, sweets, suckers and her Cavaliers. She really didn’t care to much about the Browns and got in trouble when she would attend an Indians (Guardians) game and was witness to a no hitter! However, she made a mistake by cheering for the first hit she seen, even though it was for the wrong team. Needless to say, she and dad had to leave the stadium.
As we all know, Momma did not have a license to drive, and dad tried to teach her, but she was so small she really could not reach the pedals or see over the steering wheel. I Remember being in the back seat and got thrown back and forth from her hitting the breaks and dad trying to keep her from hitting anything. She never tried to drive again after that and would always take a bus or ask one of her family members to drive her somewhere.
Everyone who knew my mother loved her spirit and thought she was the sweetest lady. It seemed like when momma was in a room with others everyone would gravitate toward her because of her smile and warm embraces.
We Will Miss her, but we know she is with her Lord and Savior!
In closing and in the words of Madea
Hallelujer!
