Edward “Pete” Walker was the third child born to Sylvester and Dosha Walker in Akron, Ohio on December 21, 1960.
Pete attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from South High School in 1979. He was an standout athlete in football and wrestling in greater Northeast Ohio.
He was a member of St. Ashworth Temple (formerly known as Wooster Avenue Temple).
Pete was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Laborers Union No. 894. He was currently employed by Shelly and Sands.
Pete coached wrestling, basketball and football. He enjoyed listening to music and shopping at tag and estate sales.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Dosha Walker and his brother, Doyland Walker.
He is survived by children, Jada Walker and Jayland Walker; sister, La Juana (Allan) Dawkins; brother Roddray (Sharon) Walker; nephews and nieces, Allen (Rachel) Thurman, Robin (Joe) Elerick, Roddray, Jr. (Brittney) Walker, Shavon Walker and Dyland Walker and a host of family and friends.
