Entering adulthood, Edward moved to Ohio. Shortly after, he met and married the love of his life, Anna M. Taylor.
Edward attended Faith Temple C.O.LG. under the pastorship of Bishop Benjamin Drone.
Edward worked at Summit Steel as a factory worker and with his brother, Deacon Winford W. Taylor, in lawn care. Edward was also known to travel for work, he was indeed a jack of all trades – the man could build a house if he wanted!
In his free time, Edward loved to be outdoors. He was also an avid reader with a love for all genres. He will be genuinely missed by all who loved him.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Anna M. Taylor; parents, Lemmie, and Myrtie Hardin Taylor; siblings, Henry Taylor Sr., Winford W. Taylor, Gerald E. “Jewel” Taylor, Lousie Tuttle, Mary Bybee, and Leard Taylor; and great-grandson, Kieondre “Teddy” Russell.
Left to cherish his memory, children, Lee (Sanna) Ware, LeAnne (Larry, Sr.) Minter, and Rose Mary Davis; grandchildren, Chanel (Earnest) Moore, Larry Minter, Jr., April Russell, Joanne (Lennie) Whisenant, John Russell, Glen Williams, and Cheree Davis; great-grandchildren, Deontae Cox, Shakyria Russell, Keith Earley, Jr., Lennie Whisenant, Jr., Shaniya Taylor, Lentrell Whisenant, Jr., Jonathan Russell, Aeden Thomas, and Marianna Russell-Jones; sisters, Essie McKinney, and Hester Strickland; niece, Helen Sanders; nephews, Simon Fletcher, Henry Taylor, David (Vanetta) Taylor, Dwight (Barbara Ann) McKinney, Herb (Regina) McKinney, and Clarence Spencer; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
