Betty was born in Akron, Ohio on April 9, 1919, to Elmer and Bertha Jackson. She attended and graduated from King Elementary School, West High School and Hammel Business School in Akron, Ohio. Betty retired from The Summit County Probate court after 17 years of service.
Betty was a member of Wesley Temple AME Zion Church for over 70 years. She was also a member of the Livington College Chapter, Mary Chapter #47 O.E.S for over 40 years and a volunteer at Akron General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Collier; parents, Elmer and Bertha Jackson; brother, Waldo Jackson; loving friend, Doris Wallace and sister-in-law, O’nell Jackson.
She leaves to mourn, nephew, Michael Jackson; nieces and nephews of Schenectady, New York; special friends, Ruthann Marshall, Kelly Peters and Zachary Brown.
