A Tribute to my Mother in Heart She birthed my 1st love, husband and father of my two children, so it is in part because of her I have this amazing life. She is the true meaning of mothers' wit, did not bite her tongue and taught me everything it is to be a woman, wife, mother and individual. The 1st time I met her, she told me "you're going to marry my son" and I said, "but you don't even know me". She said, "I know you're going to marry my son". We were best friends, like mother and daughter, ever since. Always loving and kind to me. Always. We would talk on the phone every day. I will never forget our every Friday rendezvous to the mall, rain, sleet, snow or shine. It did not matter, we all went (including Joycee, Brien, Daina and JR) and most times, we closed the mall down, exiting through secret passages because the main doors were all locked. They literally had to escort us out, she never wanted to stop shopping. I will never forget our "thank you buckets" that she insisted we bring with us on holidays, to take food home with us, after eating the delicious meal she had prepared. Oh, you were going to Gran's for the holidays, you did not want to miss it, and she insisted! She took the stereotype "meddling mother in law " out of existence, she was such a wonderful mother in law to me. Having known her since I was in Jr. High, I always called her affectionately "Mrs. Neal", it just stuck, which is where her love will always be with me, stuck in my heart. Rest in heaven, say hello to our loved ones, until we meet again, Nita Squita (Anita Thrasher Neal Jones)
