Ellen Hawkins age 56, went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2021. Loving daughter of the late Aszelene Abernathy and Lawrence Miller.

Ellen is survived by her siblings: William Hawkins, Sanford Hawkins, Renee Crayton, Sheila Poole, Courtney Miller, Ladina Davis and Katie; and nephews: Santell Hawkins, Gerald Crayton II, and niece Shelby Williams.

(3) siblings preceded her in death: Ricardo Miller, Carla Johnson and Lawrence P. Hawkins. and one nephew Sanford Hawkins Jr.

Just missing my friend....

My Condolences To The Family. I grew up with Ellen a very nice lady.

In memory of Ellen Hawkins, Tanya Sekanic lit a candle

May the God of love and perfect peace, be just that for the Hawkins family and every life that Ellen touched. She was such a loving and giving human being. She was my first friend when my mother and I moved to East Cleveland. I was 9 years old back then; now 55. Whew! How time passes. She and her family became like family to me, and for that I am forever grateful. Though we lost touch periodically as we grew older, whenever we talked or visited, it was just like picking up from the last conversation. She had no idea the impact that she and her family had on life, though I've thanked her repeatedly for being my friend. I can only hope that she knows now. My friend, my sister, may you REST IN POWER WITH THE ANCESTORS! You will be missed infinitely more than you could ever dream. Love you always! Your friend, Nat

Ellen was such a beautiful soul! I am so happy I was able to reconnect with her over the past few years as we have been friends for over 40 years! My condolences and prayers to the family and may God bring you comfort during this difficult time.

My condolences to the family Ellen and I grew up together as kids her growing up on 143rd and me growing up on Alder Ave. I am at a lost of words and very saddened by this .
