Elnora Richardson was born February 10,1930 in Wolf Island, Missouri to Lola and Lawrence Anderson. At the age of twelve she migrated with her family to Cleveland Ohio and completed her high school education along with some college from Cleveland State University.
Elnora moved to The Glenville Community in 1979 and became a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and remained a member for over 40 years. She worked in healthcare a few years and for the Cleveland airport until her health declined. She then took care of her mother aged 90 at her home until her death at the age of 104. Elnora had a great love for her family. She started the Cleveland Chapter of the Cassel-Anderson Family Reunion. She had an open home to anyone who needed it.
Elnora had a love of Music, she especially enjoyed listening to Motown music. One of her greatest hobbies was reading, no matter what her health condition was, her love of reading remained unchanged, and she made sure her spiritual literature was always near her at home and any nursing facility she was in.
Elnora loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She also loved and is loved by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family was Elnora’s priority throughout her life, making sure if there was any way to assist, she was available. She was a woman of few words, but she made her words count.
She fell asleep in death peacefully on April 25th, 2023, at the age of 93.
Elnora was preceded in death by her former spouse Joe Richardson, her siblings, James, Willie Bell, Clifford, LQ, Charles, and Earlean.
Elnora leaves to mourn children: William,(friend Diane), Phillip(Valerie deceased), Gary deceased (Diane), Linda (Wayne deceased), Yvonne, John (deceased), Joann (Danny), Angela (Nelson). Brother-in-law, Alphonso Lathan, Seventeen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends..
