Remembering Her Life
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV
ELOISE MARIA DUNSON MOSLEY was born February 11, 1933, in Akron, Ohio to the late Wilson Dunson and Clemmie Allen Dunson Moseley. She was the only child. She entered eternal rest, resting in the arms of Jesus, January 2, 2023, at the Altercare Cuyahoga Falls Nursing Home, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with loving family members at her side.
ELOISE received her education in Akron Public School System beginning at Bryant Elementary School and ended in the Cleveland Public Schools, in Cleveland OH.
ELOISE met and married her late husband, Elmer S. Mosley, June 20, 1950, and to this union four children were born: Elmer Lagar, Wanda Renee, Victor Lamar, and Kevin Renard. ELOISE busied herself being a faithful devoted wife, mother, and homemaker technician to her family whom she loved and cared for so dearly.
ELOISE spent a brief period working at Polsky’s Department Store, Akron, OH and worked for the Akron Board of Elections as a Poll worker at all the Voting Elections for many years. All who became acquainted and fondly knew Eloise were won by her infectious smile and joyful personality. To know her was to love her. Her past time passion was bowling at the Garden Lanes in Akron, OH.
ELOISE began her spiritual journey at a youthful age. She was a long-time member at the Mount Olive Baptist Church. She faithfully served under the leadership of renown pastors: Pastor Monroe, Pastor Washington, and Pastor Kemp until her health began to decline. She served on the Nurses Guild (Health Unit), adorned in her white uniform, hat, and shoes, and the Bereavement Team Ministry.
She leaves to cherish fond memories her sons, Elmer Lagar Mosley of Lima, OH, Kevin Mosley of Massillon, OH; her loving daughter and faithful caregiver, Wanda Hicks (we must also acknowledge her deceased husband, Michael, who diligently helped her in caring before his homegoing) of North Canton, OH; 1 Brother-in-law, Gerald (Natalie) Turner of Wadsworth, OH; 2 sisters-in-law, Karen Leftwich of Brandon, FL, and Marilyn Hollis of Sun City Center, FL; devoted grandson, Timothy (Tanya) Mosley; granddaughters, Tionna Mosley and Bianca Hicks; great-granddaughter, Jasmine; great-grandson, Jace; and a host of other beloved relatives and long-time friends.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the days you allowed us to love and receive love from
this wonderful gift you gave us when you made her. Today we celebrate Her Life!
