Phyllis Mesko left a message on September 27, 2021:
Mrs. Cumby was my supervisor at Akron Children's. I started there in 1970 and Mrs. Cumby was always professional, kind, understanding, a great leader and supervisor. She laughed and cried with us. You could see her coming with her perfect white uniform, cap and white shoes. I can say I loved her and she always was an inspiration to me and others.. When she retired I missed her and have thought of her often. I also am retired but still work PRN at Akron Children's Hospital. They don't make supervisors like her anymore. Always greeted me by my name and always loved my stories both personal and professional. Her encouragement helped me become the nurse I am today. May you be with the angels Mrs. Cumby. Always Phyllis Blanco Mesko
