Airry was the 2nd born of 3 children and was a resident of Bedford, Ohio when she passed. She is preceded in death by her parents and loving sister-in-law, Katrina Allen.
Airry attended Regina High School in South Euclid, Ohio from 1983-85 and transferred to Shaw High School, East Cleveland, in 1985 and graduated from Shaw in 1987. She was an efficient and conscientious employee who will certainly be missed.
Airry had a love for family and although she did not have birth children; she was always surrounded by children and took care of many. She loved and was loved. She was one of a kind but not one-dimensional. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, painting, drawing and was incredibly creative. She cooked, baked and was always designing gifts to share. Giving is an understatement to describe this wonderful soul. She had many “besties” and soul mates.
Her sudden passing leaves a hole in many hearts.
Airry had a burning interest in her genealogy that led her to research the
Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage. She was beginning to embrace and learn more about the dialect. This topic was at the center of many conversations she had with family and friends.
Airry is survived by her sister, Delores Allen (Katie); brother, Leonard Allen, nephew, Matthew Allen, aunts Geneva Barkley, Elizabeth Sabir (Ramadan), Phyllis Sullivan,
Shirley Carter (Newland-Rick), Rachel Thomas (Elder Thomas, deceased), and uncles Phillip Wayne Sullivan (Pam), Walter Sullivan and a host of cousins and dear friends.
