Erma Rose Bruce was born September 12, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late
Roosevelt and Evelyn Page. She was the fourth of seven children; five precede her
in death.
Erma received her education in the Cleveland School Systems. She married Edward
Bruce Sr. and three sons were born from this union. Erma professed her life to Christ
at an early age and was a devout believer and worshipped at different sanctuaries
prior to her illness.
Erma loved working and helping others. She worked as an AIDS Awareness
Counselor at Cleveland Treatment Center for 15 years.
Erma was a woman of fashion who loved clothes. Her well-tailored sense of style
was one-of-a-kind. She was a dancing enthusiast who often danced at Cleveland
Hand Dance and Ballroom. She enjoyed skating in her younger days.
Erma leaves to mourn, her parents, Roosevelt and Evelyn, and five siblings; Albert,
Floyd, Aaron, Sandra and Theodore who precedes her in death. Her sibling; Paulette
Page, Her sons; Edward Jr., Cornelius Sr. (Salisa), and Shannon (Candace), Her
stepdaughter: Temmett, Grandchildren; Shannon Bruce Jr., Courtney Bodie, Donte
Bruce, Cameron Rivers, Dayou Bruce, Jaila Wiggins, Gregory Winston, Pricey Winston,
John John Winston, and a host of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
