Ernest Linwood White was born on June 5, 1942 to the late Jerome William White and Nellie Easter (Stephens) White. He was the second eldest son of six boys (Jerome, Worrick, Randall, Greg, and Geoffrey) and one girl (Deborah). He peacefully departed this life on December 5, 2023.
Ernest attended East Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio where he played the trumpet in the marching band. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army in September 1960 and honorably discharged in September 1963. In February 1963, he married the love of his life, Johngelean Clark. To this union, three children were born, Dawn Arlaina, Dustin Avery, and Darvin Armon. Ernest was a devoted husband, father, grandfather; a loving brother, uncle, and a treasured friend.
He accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of The Gethsemane Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio for over 59 years.
Ernest worked at TRW and Marine Mechanical in Euclid, Ohio as a machinist and a member of UAW Local 2262 Retiree Chapter. He later became a CNC Operator at BWXT and later took on a supervisor role while at Marine
Mechanical. He then retired in 2004 after 40 years of service.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Randall P. White. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Johngelean (Jean), one daughter, Dawn A. Brogden (Eric), two sons, Dustin A. White (Rebecca Jean) and Darvin A. White (Sandra), seven grandchildren, Arlaina, Arica, Isaac, Xavier, Nethaniel, Luis Carlo, and Olivia, five siblings, and a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was truly loved, respected and will be extremely missed by all.
