Dear Andrea and Family, I would like to express my condolences on the passing of your loved one. Mrs. Leonard sounds like an amazing woman. I can see where Andrea gets some of her kindness, wit, and sarcasm from! I am praying for peace, comfort, and strength for the family during this difficult time.

Robert Golden left a message on November 23, 2020:
The truth is, I owe Aunt Ernie for my middle name, Ernest. I was named after the two youngest siblings in my mother's (Ernestine), and dad's (Robert) families. So by having Aunt Ernie in the middle of my name, one could say she centered me from day one... But more than that, my Uncle Eddie and Aunt Ernie were the young 'cool' Aunt & Uncle. After they had children, we spent many nights together in sleepovers or for babysitting. Having just buried our mom (your Aunt Lucy) two days ago, Earl, Keith, Kevin & Andrea, we know your pain at this time and offer our deepest sympathies and condolences. We will forever be tied together annually at Thanksgiving! It's sad that we've lost our mama's at the start of the holiday season... But let us do our best to use this as an opportunity to celebrate them and all of the great memories we have because of them going forward. I love you, Aunt Ernie, thank you for always being there for us, RIH!!!

My oldest memory of Ernestine was at Earl’s graduation. We bonded over our shared laughter of picking on Ed! She always welcomed me and my family in her home and would give the best hugs! You always felt her love in her smile! I hope she finds Ed in heaven so they can keep each other smiling for all eternity!
