For my mother whose mercy, power and grace will live on through the hearts of all who choose to declare their victory over inaction, complacency and mediocrity.
Ethel Blanche Cox has ascended beyond the physical and returned to our Lord on a date marked as of July 21, 2023. She entered this earth through the union of Phillip and Ethel Reynolds in Eutaw, Alabama on the 31st day of October in the year marked as 1942.
Ethel graduated from South High School in Akron. She was an excellent seamstress with creative designs for prom and debutante dresses, as well as christening outfits. She was a licensed real estate agent with her own business, E.B. Cox Realty, in Canton, Ohio for approximately 10 years. After which, she worked at Parkhill Realty in Akron, Ohio. Additionally, she was a recruiter for I.T.T for 6 years.
Her legacy survives with her son, Eric La Mont Cox, his wife and son, Andrea Paul and Forest Nadu Cox; step-son and daughter, Lloyd and Saundra; brothers, Jimmy and Moses; sisters, Ruth Jeanette and Mary Lee; nieces and nephews of grand delight, along with their children; also notably with family through the legacy of Woodrow Rushin.
