Mr. Cavin spent a lot of time at the Harvard-Lee Branch of Cleveland Public Library. He visited often to read the newspaper and tell stories. The staff here really enjoyed and cared about him over many years. We and his buddy Walt, who he'd sit with, truly miss him.

Granddaddy, I will truly miss talking to you and just listening to your conversations. You were such a sweet soul and always so kind and encouraging to me. You made sure to tell me how much you loved me and that’s what I choose to treasure forever. I love you now and always!! Your granddaughter, Angie

I ? Uncle Eugene. He loved the Lord, his children and family. I always felt close to him. When he came to Warren to visit his daughter June, he would call for those who lived there to come and he always tried to keep up a good relationship with all the relatives. We always had wonderful conversations. I loved the way he spoke and I will miss Uncle Eugene. ?
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I was shocked hear of Brother Cavin's homegoing. I met Brother Gene at Morning Star Baptist Church. We had many religious discussions and I always felt enlightened by them. His smile and firm handshake will surely be missed... Rest my Brother, I'll see you over there..
