Eugene Spidell, Jr. was born on April 3, 1958, in Akron Ohio to the late, Mamie and Eugene Spidell Sr. Eugene, affectionately known as June Bug, grew up on Manchester Road and remained there his entire life. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. June Bug‘s favorite hobby since his childhood was fishing. He loved sports. In high school he played baseball, which he enjoyed alot. After graduating from South High School, he served in the United States Army Korea. During his adventurous life, he married Johnsie Mae Spidell in Bell County, Texas. To this union, they raised 4 beautiful girls: Tammy, Tonya, Tracy and Treva. Even through his trials and tribulations, June Bug always remained humble and had a sense of humor. He was well-known for having a nickname for everyone he loved.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Foster; sisters, Eunice (Fay) Brown and Theresa (Rita) Brown.
Eugene is survived by his daughters, Tammy of Southern Pines, NC, Tonya Vamper Angelo (David), Tracy Vamper and Treva Vamper Weaver (Calvin) of Akron, OH; grandchildren, Tarshikka, Treyshawn, Tyrell, Daquan, Damitri, Daminica, Dayja and Turquoria; sister, Patricia Ann Brown; special friends, Joyce Madej and Benny Stamps; mother figure, Mrs. Jones; cousin who was more like a brother, Derrick Brown; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
