Eunice Helen Hopson was born on April 19, 1930, in Glen Jean, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Hopson, parents Fred Neason and Mary Ervine (Wade Ervine), daughter Ardel Anderson, and siblings, Wannetta Ervine and Robert Neason.
Eunice had a satisfying career in the medical field. She was a committed member of Bethel Baptist Church and held the Akron City Usher President position for several years, attending state and national conventions during that time. Eunice was also deeply devoted to her family and enthusiastically organized dinners, holiday events, and family reunions.
She is survived by her loving children, Armetta Gandy, John Hopson, and Ollie Hopson, as well as her sister, Wanda Grey. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 45 great-great-grandchildren.
Eunice, a matriarch of our family, made everyone feel special and loved. She will truly be missed.
