Evelyn Lewis was born on December 26, 1941 in Anderson, South Carolina to Belgin Sr. and Reader Oglesby.

Evelyn relocated Cleveland, OH where she was employed by Ress Realty Company until she retired.

She met and married Dizzie Dean Lewis and was a loving and devoted mother to her three children, Pat, Susan and Gary.

Evelyn devoted her life to her family and the family club, “The Descendants” where she made her Best Barbeque Sauce ever!  She also was known for her delicious wine that was picked from her own vineyard!

Evelyn enjoyed traveling by bus to various locations that were sponsored by the family.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Maple Heights Senior Center where she won three awards for her service and the best Halloween and Christmas contests.

Fishing brought happiness to her life and she would often request that Gary and Raymond take her.  Evelyn loved helping others and loved GOD!  She adored the time spent with her nieces and nephews and was there for them after her sisters passed away.

Evelyn departed this life on October 20, 2020 at Bedford University Hospital.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Belgin Sr. and Reader Oglesby and siblings, Zoemena, Daisy (Theamon-deceased) and Tommy Lee.

Evelyn leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her three children, Patricia (Joe), Susan, and Gary (Dolly); siblings, Belgin Sr. (Cora), Pearlen; grandchildren, Carlos, Shawnte, Brittani, Mya and Gary Jr.; great grandchildren, Serenity, Kamore, Eva Grayson, Mya, Junior and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
