Evelyn Marie Kinds was born in Ravenna, Ohio October 5th, 1942, to Linnell Kinds, Sr. and Ann Head Kinds; who both preceded her in death. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1960 before attending Kent State University.
After leaving Kent State she went on to work for the United States Postal Service in Cleveland, OH. During her tenure her last position was a supervisor until her retirement.
Evelyn was baptized at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church as a teenager. She later joined Warrensville Road Community Baptist Church, where she was a devoted and faithful member for many years. She served on numerous ministries and organizations, including: the Usher Board, Women’s Ministry, Singles Ministry, Save Our Babies, Freedom School and Summer Camp, Vacation Bible School, Senior Bible Ministry and Comfort Care, until her health began to decline.
Evelyn loved serving GOD, her church, family, friends and her community. She also worked as a volunteer for many political figures including President Obama’s campaign. She received numerous postal service awards and accolades for her service including outstanding Overall Performance and several service awards.
Evelyn went on to her heavenly reward on Saturday October 16, 2021, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her sister Brenda who passed away at an early age, brother Linnell “Johnny” Kinds, aunts, uncles and cousins and long-time friend Robert Callahan. She leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Judith Morgan (Charles Sr), niece Ann Marie Morgan, nephew Charles Ray Morgan, two great nieces Justyn Hartgrove and Lillian Corpening-Morgan, sister-in-law Deborah Kinds (Linnell), as well as an aunt Esther Kinds, Uncle Frank (Hedy), and a host of cousins, family and friends.
