On July 4 2023, God called Ezzie Milliner to his eternal home.
Ezzie was born March 2, 1930 to Elizabeth and Wathea Milliner. To that union seven children were born. Ezzie was the oldest child.
Ezzie began his education in Hackneyville, Alabama and the family later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he graduated from Central High School in 1950. He served in the military during the Korean war from 1951 – 1953.
He married Mattie Williams in 1953 and to that union was born Wilford Terion Milliner. He later wed Dr. Rosa Clements on July 14, 2007, following the passing of Mattie. He and his wife traveled internationally and domestically. He was a faithful and loving husband. He will be missed.
Throughout his 51-year tenure with General Motors, he was a devoted worker. He received a number of awards during his tenure with General Motors.
He spent more than 60 years as a member of St. Paul AME Zion Church and sang in the male chorus there. He also was an active member of the men’s breakfast club that met every Friday morning.
He was very sociable and outgoing and believed in always helping others as often as he could. He enjoyed making jokes and sharing his sense of humor with others to keep them laughing and smiling.
During his high school days he wore suits to class, which was when his “GQ Style” of dressing first developed. He remained coordinated and stylish throughout his entire life.
The phrase “Stay in Your Lane” was one of his favorites.
He had three brothers: Wathen and Clemmie Milliner and deceased sibling Billy Milliner; three sisters: Claudia Fennell, Jacqueline Smith, and Aurzene Cleggett, who passed away.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Rev. Dr. Rosa Clements-Milliner; his son, Wilford Terion ( Dr. Lynn); his stepson, Joseph Clements III, and stepdaughter, Selena Johnson; three granddaughters: Dr. Brittany Mbanugo (Dr. Odera), Ashley (Arnold) Adorno, and Traci Milliner; two great-granddaughters: Aubrey Adorno and Nneka Chidera Mbanugo; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
