On October 3, 1932 in Hogansville, Georgia, Felton Holloway Sr arrived in this world. Son to Mary L. Wiseman (Philpot) and Percy “Hardaway” Holloway. Who both proceeded Felton in death. Felton attended Georgia Schools and Church with Mother and Grandmother in his early years where he found Christ. Cherished by grandmother, Ethel Philpot, Felton relocated with her to Miami, Florida. Felton continued schooling, played baseball, attended Church, and worked until enlisting in the United States Coast Guard on February 24, 1949. Trained for duties in Maryland, Baltimore and New Haven, CT, Felton was stationed in Seattle, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Philippines. Felton became a Culinary Specialist, Boxing Champion, pitched in Baseball and Softball. He proudly served 13 yrs. receiving an honorable discharge on August 2, 1962. Felton worked many jobs in the Greater Cleveland are. Sometimes two at a time or long hours to provide for home. Felton worked security for Giant Tiger, John Carrol University (Culinary), Joseph Dise (MFg) Sifco Ind for 19 years, Yellow Cab for 10 years, and Marriot parking facilities for 8 years. He finally retired at the age of 78 yrs. Felton love and concern poured out in and outside the workplace. Felton joined the Freeman Organization. He served as President of Collinwood Youth Center Program, and became President of the Steel Workers Union at Sifco Ind. Felton Joined baseball, bowling, and pool leagues with “Big” success. His favorite pastime was watching sports, listening to music, playing cards, checkers, and ping-pong with family and friends. Most of all shooting pool. Felton experienced marriages and long-term relationships. To be blessed with an abundance of children. Felton leaves to Cherish his memories. He is survived by sons: Larry Holloway, Felton Holloway Jr. (Dianne), Tony L. Holloway (Donna), Timothy English, Ricky Holloway, Rodney Holloway (Nicole), Kenneth Battle (Latisha). Daughters: Bridgette Moore, LuWanda Holloway, Janell Holloway-Pattawaren, Judy Ann Battle, and Charlene T. Battle. 28 Grandchildren, 44 Great grandchildren, 4 Great Great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, and friends.
