Flave Bailey was born September 25, 1948, in Wynn Arkansas. She was the third of nine children born to Perry and Ruthie Cobbs, who preceded her in death. Flave attended Rosenwald High School in Osceola, AR. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio, and in time married Arthur Bailey, Jr in June 30, 1986, until his death in 2014. Flave was a homemaker. But on occasion worked as a housekeeper. She had a love for baking, and at times would sell her baked goods at the local farmer’s market. But most often shared her baking with her family and friends; especially her delicious pound cake and banana pudding. She was deeply loved for her BEAUTIFUL personality, her loving spirit and warm smile. She was indeed ”an excellent woman!” (Ruth 3:11)
Flave (Flavia), dedicated her life to Jehovah on June 25, 1988. On January 1, 1989, she became a regular pioneer, or full-time minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where she served in the Terrace Congregation in Ohio, until it merged as the Northvale Congregation in September 2018. She shared with enthusiasm the Bibles hope of everlasting life on a beautiful paradise earth with all who would listen. She loved everyone, but enjoyed spending time with her spiritual family, especially her children in the faith, Cynthia (Timothy) Davis, Cheryl (Milburn) Allen (1 Timothy 1:12), and her friend, Doris Sims. They were a great joy to her. Her love for the preaching work was evident. Helping many to dedication and baptism. She was a deep thinker and a true student of the Bible. She will always be remembered as a zealous and faithful servant of her God, Jehovah. She will be dearly missed by all those who truly loved her from the heart.❤
